Ingredients:
- 4 cups Flour
- 2 1/2 tsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 tsp Diastatic Malt Powder
- 1 tsp Sea salt
- 1 3/4 cup Water (warm water)
Instructions:
- Add yeast to warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes
- Using a stand mixer with a dough attachment, combine the flour, salt, malt powder and yeast mixture on medium speed and continue mixing until it forms into a ball.
- Place the dough into an oiled bowl and cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- After dough has doubled, punch down, knead and cover and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Lightly flour a surface and knead the dough. Form into a 12 inch loaf and place it in a loaf pan and cover and let it rise again until doubled in size.
- Turn oven to 375 degrees. Remove the cover and place the loaf in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- Loaf should be golden, a little browned on the bottom and sound hollow when tapped. Let the loaf cool on a rack for 20 minutes before slicing.
