Haricot français originaire de Bretagne dont la petite forme ronde et la couleur blanche rappellent le haricot blanc d'Amérique du Nord, également connu sous le nom de Navy. Les haricots coco nécessitent un prétrempage et cuisent rapidement en moins d'une heure. Ils ont une texture plus amylacée et une saveur de beurre, légèrement noisetée. Les haricots coco sont utilisés dans les soupes et les ragoûts européens traditionnels, notamment les soupes de haricots et de légumes verts ou les soupes de haricots et de pâtes, telles que les Pasta Fagioli. COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Rinse and drain the beans in cold water. In a pot, transfer the beans and cover with water, about 2 inches above. Bring to a boil on high heat and cover. Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and let it cook for about 30-40 minutes or until the beans are soft and tender. Drain excess water. Optional: Pre-soak beans overnight.
